Exceptional

The whole facility was amazing. As tourists to Japan we loved the variety of food we got to eat here. Our room was fantastic and being able to sit in the got springs while enjoying the view of Mt Fuji was priceless. The staff was wondering and helpful. We paid extra to dress up in kimonos and it was so well worth it. We have told all our friends and family about this place.

Great Place to stay for the best view of Mt Fuji (while you enjoy your onsen)

It was money well spent. Our room has a view of Mt Fuji, absolutely stunning. the room was spacious as well. loved how we were able to rent free yukatas (or pay for nicer looking ones - which we did). Kaneyamaen has a really beautiful garden for us to explore and take really nice photos. Love it that they have shuttle services to the train stations (Mt Fuji/Kawaguchiko station) which make things really convenient.

The shuttle from Mishima station brought us to a pretty boring location. and also, im actually not really sure if the onsen in the room is private enough, given that i was able to see people from a distance while i was in the onsen. but being on higher grounds, it should be hard to see from outside.

Value for money.

Nice hotel and it have a lot of activities. Best for relax.

They made us impressed since check-in by prepare group of lovely staff in Kimono to welcome us. They have traditional drum show at night and binggo game which made us fun. Moreover hotel have freeflow of wine and beer which very good taste. Dinner and breakfast also good. Room clean and amenities in bathroom also good.

Wonderful

The food was amazing. The view of Mt. Fuji was also incredible. We had a miscommunication once due to the language barrier, but other than that, the staff were very professional and helpful. Many things to dk directly in the hotel like kimono rental, massages, wine room, the tea experience, drum show, karaoke, and more!

This place over exceeded my expectations on both food and service

The breakfast was excellent. Due to time, I took taxi from hakone so it cost me more $. very clean relax environment and public bath on 10th floor has beautiful view of mt fuji

I wish there was more entertainment choices at night after dinner especially for kids. And also more massage appointment availability as i could not get a massage du to fully booked. In addition, i thought the tea room didnt have much to offer. The alcohol/drink room did not have many choices

A highlight of our time in Japan

Absolutely phenomenal stay. We booked the Sanri room with two twin beds and an outdoor private onsen with a view of Mt. Fuji. The room was massive, especially for Japan hotel standards. The public onsen in the top floor was spectacular. The ryokan is actually quite big, which was a surprise to us when checking in. However, the kaiseki dinner and staff were extremely personalized, so it felt more intimate and private. Most ryokans don't really have much to do after dinner, so it was a nice surprise to have a taiko show and then a piano concert offered to guests from 8:30-10:00 pm.

Everything was perfect.

The location was amazing, with a fantastic view from our private Onsen. Our room beautiful and the facilities were luxurious. The eight course meal was fantastic and the staff were incredible, even the arranged transportation from the train station was excellent. The drum show also exceeded my expectations.

The bed was a bit hard.

Everything. The location, the friendly and welcoming staff, the wonderful food, the impeccable service. All that as well as having a private bath that takes in the glorious views of Mt Fuji.

The price. But that was it. It was an amazing experience in a stunning location.

Beautiful and unique accommodation

Amazing room with a view of Mt Fuji from our open air onsen. The staff were pleasant, and helpful. We absolutely loved 'wine hour' with free wines to taste and snacks, this was such a unique experience! We loved the room, the experience of sleeping in a tatami room was so comfortable. The doona was so fluffy and cozy. The shuttle service was also handy.

The shower was in this little space between the outdoor onsen and the sinks and it was stone flooring and very very cold in winter. It was fine for us because we mainly used the bath but not ideal if you want a hot shower to rinse off. No cots on offer although sleeping on the floor was fine with our baby.

Generally good.

Location’s fine with free shuttle bus and just 10-min bus to every scenery spot. We were able to see Mt. Fuji from the sofa bed and the pool, which is a great plus. The spring is excellent, as well as the staff. We met a small problem while booking the bus ticket, but they provided excellent service and made phone calls for me since I barely know Japanese. Staff can speak at least fluent English, Mandarin, and Japanese(of course). The meal was great as well.

Kinda expensive actually. If you book ahead a couple of months, there’ll be more better options.

It was a resort and it was awesome. The room we stayed in had a private onsen and was large. Dinner option was worth it and staff was super nice.

Very Good

So many great things. Lovely staff, good (though not outstanding) food, fantastic gardens and nice activities including the drumming show and baths

Though it’s positioned as a ryokan it’s a huge ugly building and though it has clear views of Mount Fuji you look over various industrial buildings to see it. Not really what I was looking for and a bit disappointing
